Last weekend's class at Giggling Panda Chinese School celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival. Our teacher shared the story of Hou Yi shooting down the ten suns to save the people. The children listened eagerly, with some wanting to help Hou Yi. They observed the story’s pictures closely, then danced to a Mid-Autumn song. The class also met Chang’e and her jade rabbit. In the craft session, the kids made clay "mooncakes," and the lesson ended with everyone enjoying delicious custard-filled mooncakes.
